Dump Cakes
just 3 ingredients and bake
We have a wonderful break in the weather, only mid-80s with little humidity; I’m spoiled already! Since it’s so nice and having the oven on won’t heat the house, I thought I’d spoil my hubby and bake him some dessert. He is a dessert man; he’s also a welder who works in a hot shop, so he deserves a sweet treat.
I have many dry cake mixes in the pantry, so a dump cake came to mind. These cakes are so easy and moist; just 3 ingredients are all you need. This recipe isn’t your common dump cake; it’s better!
Start with a cake mix of your choice; I’m using a lemon cake mix today. Pair your cake mix with a can of pie filling (lemon filling for mine) that complements the cake mix, and 3 large eggs are all you need. The pie filling replaces the oil and water; mix and bake. It’s pretty foolproof and so delicious! Stock up on cake mixes because this recipe is a keeper.
Best Ever Dump Cake
3 large eggs
1 box cake mix
1 can pie filling
Preheat oven to 350. Grease a 9x13 baking dish.
In a large bowl, whisk the eggs with the pie filling until well combined. Stir in dry cake mix just until no streaks remain; do not overmix. Pour batter into prepared pan and bake for 35-40 mins. until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool slightly but serve warm.

Yes!! My mom called it Dump Dessert. One large can chunk pineapple undrained,1 can cherry pie mix,1 yellow or white cake mix. Thank you for taking me back to my childhood.
